Why DelMonte

This isn't a tour bus.
This is your island.

01

Certified expertise

Our guides are Certified Interpretive Guides with academic training in Environmental Sciences, wilderness safety, and Puerto Rico's ecosystems. Backed by years of field experience in rainforest, coastal, cave, and marine environments, they do more than lead tours — they translate the island. When they point to something on the trail, they can tell you exactly what it is, why it matters, and how it connects to Puerto Rico's ecology, history, and culture.

02

We've actually done this

Puerto Rico is full of companies that decided to start a tour business to cash in on the hype. They picked cool spots, built a website, and called it a day. Our guides have been doing this since they were 12. Years of camping across different terrains, navigating rainforests, coastal zones, and backcountry routes — not as tourists, but as trained field leaders. The places we take you aren't just "cool." Every location has weight, context, and a story that comes from actually knowing the land.

03

Completely private — and personal

No group tours. No strangers. No bus. Before your trip, we take the time to understand what you actually want out of this experience. How hands-on do you want us to be? How much engagement? Do you want a guide who talks through everything or one who lets you breathe? We don't assume — we ask. Then we build your weekend around those answers.

04

Places locals actually go

We don't take you to the spots on every tourist map. We take you to the hidden peaks, the rivers you have to hike to, the beach that has no name online. The Puerto Rico that most visitors fly home without ever seeing — because nobody bothered to show them where to look.

What Guests Say

Real weekends.
Real people.

★★★★★

"We'd never been to Puerto Rico before and had no idea where to start. Having someone pick us up, show us the neighborhood, and just handle everything made the whole trip feel effortless. The rainforest day was something we'll talk about for years."

Jess & Tom — First trip to PR

Boston, MA

★★★★★

"My grandparents are in their 70s and I was nervous about planning something active. The guide was so thoughtful — slower pace, beautiful spots, no pressure. They were in tears at one point just taking it all in."

Maria D. — Family trip

Orlando, FL

★★★★★

"I'm Puerto Rican but grew up in New York. I thought I knew the island. I did not. They took me to places my own family had never been. It felt like reconnecting with something I didn't know I'd lost."

Carlos R. — Diaspora

New York, NY

★★★★★

"I specifically didn't want a guide who'd be in my face the whole time. I just wanted to see the real Puerto Rico without having to figure it out myself. Present when it mattered, out of the way when it didn't."

Andrew K. — Low-key traveler

Seattle, WA

★★★★★

"The way our guide explained the ecology of the forest, the indigenous names of the plants, the history layered into the landscape — it made every single place mean something. That's rare."

Dr. Patricia L. — History lover

Chicago, IL

★★★★★

"Honestly the best money we spent on the entire trip. We felt safe, taken care of, and we saw things no travel blog could have told us about. Book it. Don't overthink it."

The Hendersons — Family of 4

Atlanta, GA

The Team

We are so glad
you found us.

Honestly — a company like this one doesn't come around often. People who actually love this island, actually know what they're talking about, and are genuinely pumped to share it with you. Both fluent in English and Spanish. Both ready to make your trip something you'll still be talking about in five years.

I've been managing Airbnbs for a while now and kept noticing the same pattern — guests wanted more than a place to sleep. Taking friends from all over the world to the hidden corners of this island, the way we used to do back in my scouting days, has always been one of the best parts of my life. I'll grab any excuse to make a campfire, I'll find you the best Salsa night in Río Piedras, and yes — I will absolutely know the perfect photo op before you even think to ask. I got you.

I like studying Environmental Science at UPR — but I lovebeing a part of it. Most people think of Puerto Rico as beaches and old city streets. And sure, we've got those. But this island is actually one of the very few places on earth with such a dramatically diverse ecosystem packed into a 100x35 mile stretch of land — rainforest, mangroves, bioluminescent bays, mountain peaks, coral reefs. Explaining that, living inside it, is what made me fall in love with being a ranger in the first place. Fair warning: I bird watch at the crack of dawn. You don't have to join me — but don't be surprised if you want to.
